In this second sermon in our four-part series on Gideon, we see God's calling of Gideon. He establishes his God-given identity and assures him of his abiding presence. By answering Gideon's additional need for reassurance, God shows us that weak faith is not rejected, it is strengthened. And Gideon's first completed task underlines God's priority of removing idol-worshipping and allows Gideon to take care of business at home before heading out to take on the Midianites.
