In this, our second sermon in this series, we dive into John's early experiences in following Jesus.  He not only witnesses Jesus's amazing teaching, but also his power over nature and illnesses and the spiritual realm. As one of Jesus's closest companions he sees even more than the rest of the disciples. But all of this doesn't mean that John didn't make blunders along the way. He is indeed a "growing disciple". And we can be assured that Jesus works with us as we grow, maturing us to become who he always knew we would become.
