In John 4 we get to witness one of Jesus's Acts of Reversal & Redemption. Through his interaction with the Samaritan Woman at the Well, as well as with the whole town, Jesus achieves a completely different outcome from  what happened in that place in Genesis 34. Instead of darkness, brokenness and death, at the end of this account, we find  life, trust, curiosity, belief and community.
